From the Sam & Devorah Foundation for Transgender Youth:
From Vertical Endeavors–Twin Cities Bouldering:
CLOM, aka a Climbing Prom! And just like your first Prom, this one's also occurring in a gym.
In celebration of PRIDE month, Twin Cities Bouldering is co-hosting the first ever climbing prom as a fundraiser event for RECLAIM, a non-profit organization striving to provide affordable/free mental healthcare for LGBTQIA youth. We welcome EVERYONE to attend!
There will be musical entertainment, a charity auction, friendly games and competitions, dancing, and climbing!
We ask that you participate in the spirit of this event by dressing to impress, whether it be your best, or craziest attire! You can take the traditional route and opt for something classically formal. Go for something trendy and modern with some cool rave-wear, glow sticks and all! Take the retro approach by doing an 80s revival, sequins, tulle, one-glove, and lots o' hair spray! Just have fun with it and don't be afraid to get creative.
Please note: All who attend CLOM will need an updated VE Waiver on file, regardless if they are climbing or not.
This is a monthly drop-in space for adults to ask questions or get information about supporting queer and trans youth, as well as to meet other families who may be on a similar journey with youth in their lives.
The fee for this group is $20 (sliding scale options are available) and an RSVP is preferred.
This group open to all supportive parents, caregivers, and family members of queer and trans youth, so please share with anyone who may be interested! For more information or to sign up, please email services@reclaim.care or call 612-235-6743 x4.

Emily Boyajian is a pianist and composer. Her creation for the 2022-2023 Cedar Commissions, Transition, is an illustration of the journey that is one’s gender transition. Emily draws on her own experiences as a trans woman and explores those nuanced and dynamic experiences, creating stories that other trans people can see themselves in, too.
RECLAIM’s mission is to increase access to mental health care for queer and trans youth so they may reclaim their lives from oppression in all its forms. RECLAIM provides financially accessible, specialized mental health care to queer and trans youth ages 12-25 and their families. We also engage in community events and offer training and consultation services to help our partners improve their ability to work with queer and trans folks. RECLAIM’s vision is that all queer and trans youth enjoy a thriving mental health foundation to live liberated, authentic lives in community.
