Volunteer Orientation

This meeting will introduce attendees to the various ways volunteers can be involved with RECLAIM's presence at Pride and other outreach events this season. We'll spend a bit of time getting to know each other, learn about RECLAIM, discuss volunteer roles, review the Pride/outreach schedule, and start signing up based interest and availability. This is also serves as a general orientation for other volunteer opportunities with RECLAIM.

At Pride/outreach events, volunteers are needed to set up our booth, run activities, and share information about RECLAIM's services with visitors. Some Pride events may also include a photo-booth opportunity for visitors. We are also looking to recruit Pride Ambassadors who feel confident representing RECLAIM without staff present.

This Pride volunteer orientation will take place from 6:00 to 7:00 PM via Google Meet. We will email the link out shortly before the orientation begins from volunteer@reclaim.care. If you'd prefer to attend in-person, we will also have a Pride volunteer meeting at our offices on May 8 (see our event calendar).

Examples of current typical volunteer opportunities:
- Front Desk Volunteer - to help in our clinic with greeting clients, families, and working on administrative help
- Special Events Volunteer - to help out with events like our annual Celebrate the Love Gala and Pride!
- RECLAIM Ambassador - take point at tabling events to help represent RECLAIM in the community and reach more people with resources and info about services
- Development Volunteer - helps with writing postcards, calling donors, putting together thank you packets, and much more! Many virtual opportunities.
