Join a state park naturalist to learn a few tips and tricks for identifying the birds that stick around all winter long.
Learn about their adaptations for surviving our Minnesota winters and how you can make your yard bird friendly. Be ready for outside hiking on uneven terrain - dress warmly and wear sturdy warm boots for hiking. Bring binoculars if you have them. This event has accessible parking and restrooms.

QUEERY stands for Queer Unity, Environmental Education, and Recreation for Youth, and is a free, inclusive nature club designed specifically for queer and questioning middle and high school youth in Southern Minnesota.

Every month, we gather for exciting activities that foster outdoor skills, build friendships, and explore the unique ways queerness can be found in the natural world. From nature journaling, hiking, and birding, to tours of local greenhouses and kayaking, each meetup is an opportunity for adventure and discovery!
