Call for Artists - The QT Art Auction

RECLAIM invites queer & trans artists 12-25 to apply to participate in The QT Art Auction on the evening of Saturday, June 20.

The QT Art Auction is an opportunity for young queer and trans artists to sell their artwork at Orchestra Hall before the MN Orchestra’s Pride concert. Selected artists will be paid a stipend ($50-100), receive all proceeds of their art sales, and receive two tickets to watch the concert.

Preceding the concert, artists will set up their work for sale in the mezzanine (upper) level of Orchestra Hall. Works can be sold through a silent auction or at a fixed price. Over a thousand concert guests will be able to bid on and purchase works of art using their phones until the end of the intermission. RECLAIM staff will facilitate all aspects of auction promotion, management, and payment.

To start, you will need to complete our application form and confirm that you are able to attend on June 20. We have a limited number of spots for participating artists. If you are selected, you will then need to provide details on the artwork you are selling and some basic info on you as an artist. RECLAIM will issue payment as a check after the event is completed.

The QT Art Auction is organized by RECLAIM in partnership with the Minnesota Orchestra during the performance of Disney Pride in Concert on Saturday, June 20 at Orchestra Hall, featuring the Minnesota Orchestra and the Twin Cities Gay Men’s Chorus.
